If I were to wake up one morning and find out that commerce city has been completely cut off from the rest of Colorado and the world by a mysterious, invisible barrier, I would feel astonished, frighted, surprised, socked, anxious, and frustrated by the fact that we are stranded with limited supplies to survive in commerce city. Considering that our supplies comes from several parts of the world, makes me feel terrified that soon those supplies might disappeared in matter of time. If this were to happen in commerce city, I would begin by recruiting all crucial elements humans need to survive for my family..

If I were to wake up one morning and find out that Commerce City had been cut off from the rest of Colorado by an invisible barrier , I would feel scared because we only have an amount of supplies. To think that we have to share all those supplies with many people, makes me think , we would not be able to have enough of supplies for everyone. If this were to happen I will gather people to make plans for a way to survive.

In my opinion, most people would not be so cool headed because when people feel trapped they lash out and sometimes make some questionable decisions. For example, in Doctor Who, there is an episode where The Doctor and some passengers are trapped on a tour ship with an alien conscious on board as well. However, I still like your theory and it is still possible.

If i were to wake up one morning and the whole town of Commerce City has been covered by an "invisible barrier", then i would be a little depressed considering the fact that Commmerce City isn't the best place to be stranded with limited supplies. Being blocked out from the rest of the world would keep us with low food and water . But if i had to be choosing of what to be doing while all this is happening, i would definetly choose to barricade my self in some place with alot of water and food, so that i would have a steady supply of waht i need and no one trying else trying to get it.

You have a good post, but where would you get the supplies to build your barrier? Where would you get the lots of food and water from? It's good, but I think you need to explain a little better.

Would you share with your family, or just be selfish in the time of crisis?

If I were to wake up one morning and find that Commerce City was completely cut off from the rest of Colorado and the rest of the world by a mysterious, invisible barrier, I would feel anxious because I would want to get as much food as I could before everyone else found out. I would also feel scared because soon people would start killing each other, and I don't want to kill other people, or die. I would want to do whatever I would have to do to stay alive until everyone else dies and hopefully the invisible barrier would soon go away.

Great post and explanation of everything but if u would not cooperate with others and let everyone else die, u wouldn't be all there when the invisible barrier is removed.

Why do people have to start killing each other? What if it unified Commerce City?

I am curious as to why you wouldn't try to tell everyone else to notify them of the dangers that they could possibly be in.

People going crazy, and killing is the most likely scenario that would happen if that happened. We just don't want to face facts and realize that that is what would happen.I would probably be selfish, and I mean no one else said anything else about their families.

To answer your questions once again, I will go to like Wall mart or something and steal as much food as I could before everyone else noticed. Then I would barricade myself in a secret room in my house, then ration out my food by eating one small meal a day. I will then wait until everyone has either killed each other, or until the dome goes away and we are all free once again. I wouldn't help my family because they would eat all of my food right away, and they would make me do all of the work and they wouldn't help with anything. There does that answer everyone's questions NOW!?

If Commerce City were cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious barrier, I would deffinatley be afraid, but I would'nt panic. I would take all the things from when I was taking care of myself and casually suggest them to the panicing adults. That would cause them to not actually think about what I suggested, they would just do it.

All over all the thing that would be taking care of me would be my intelligence. I can't really run out of that. However, If you mean food and water, I'm very good at rationing based on the unkowns. I could help the whole town.

If I were to wake up one morning, and find Commerce City Surrounded by a invisible barrier I would act very quickly. Even in a crisis moment where i would be terrified, It is important to find a sustainable source of food, and supplies. Gathering up the whole community and discussing ideas on how to sustain life would be the safest bet. Later on we would investigate the barrier and the reason why it suddenly cut off Commerce City.

This's one of the best responses that I've read so far. But what would be some of the ideas you would come up with to sustain life? Also, what would you do to investigate the barrier and what information would you gather?

I like your reply, but have you considered that maybe everyone would be too paniky to do any real good? People tend not to think logically when they're in panic mode.

If I were to wake up one morning to find out that my town of Commerce City has been entirely cut off from the rest of Colorado and the world by a mysterious, invisible barrier, I would feel scared, hopeful, but most of all curious. Survival would be the most important, so the limited supply that I would have would be proportioned for strictly the things that I and my family would need. However, having a barrier around my city is no ordinary everyday thing so I would be really curious as to what caused it and worried about how we could get out of it. So, if this were to happen, I would hope to find a way out of that barrier between Commerce City and everyone else.

If I were to wake up one morning to find that my town or city is isolated from the rest of the world, I don't think I would be able to believe my eyes. Just the idea of the invisible barrier would confuse me to the point of hysteria. Although, if by some miraculous fashion I were to regain my senses, then I would call any family members who are also trapped and try to get all of us in one place so that we could combine the food reserves and come up with some ideas for what to do next. I would then proceed to check if the internet was still available, and try to contact "the outside" world to see if they could help us or if they were the ones who imprisoned us. But assuming that the rest of the city had fallen into pandemonium, the safest thing to do would be to try and separate those who are still calm and try to find a logical solution.

If I were to wake up one morning to see that Commerce City was surrounded by an invisible barrier, that would cut our city from Colorado, I would find shelter and food. When everyone realizes the city is surrounded by an invisible barrier, everyone will worry and panic, and when they're out of food, food would become scarce and people would die of starvation. Water is another thing that would become scarce. People will not have water to drink or to take showers and Commerce City will have a lot of trash, but that is what I think. It may not be accurate but it would be terrifying.

Great response! Except, how would you find shelter and food, would you do this on your own or create a team? Don't you think that other people would think the same way as you and the shelter and food finding will get competitive and that being in a group might be more effective?

If I were to wake up one morning and find out that Commerce City had been isolated from the rest of Colorado and the world by an invisible barrier I would feel frightened. Not only would I feel frightened, but I would also be panicked by the thought that the residents in Commerce City would not be able to freely roam the rest of the world; we would be secluded and limited to the things we would normally be able to do. I would also be paranoid and have psychotic behavior due to the fact that I have minor claustrophobia. My initial thoughts in what to do if this were to happen is to gather as much of the resources I could along with people because I would follow the "two heads are better than one" idiom; As a whole city we would be able to do a lot more than we would independently. My further plans would be to find a way to escape from the horrifying barrier that is keeping us isolated such as digging underneath it and getting out that way.

If I were to wake up one morning to find Commerce City had been cut of from the rest of Colorado; I would be extremely shocked and terrified even though I would try to be calm and find a way out. I would probably go to grocery store and collect enough food and other important item for my family and I to be able to survive for a while and continue to collect food until the town runs out of supplies. I'd probably stay inside my house because the rest of the people go crazy. I also would recruit the most intelligent people I know in Commerce City and come up with a plan to escape the invisible barrier.

If I were to wake up to find myself stuck inside a barrier, like an ant farm, I would feel confused and scared of some kind of fight because the supplies can't last forever. However, instead of fighting I would spend most of my time studying or trying to break the dome.

If I were to wake up one morning and find that Commerce City had been completely cut off from the rest of Colorado by a mysterious, invisible barrier questions would begin to arise in my head. The first thing I would think is that maybe we are under some sort of government protection from a terrorist attack or something of the sort, but then I would question the fact that we don't have any resources and begin to feel trapped and frightened that we don't have any form of escape and that soon we will run out of supplies and conflicts will begin to form within the community.

Well, if I were to wake up one day and find that Commerce City was completely cut off by an invisible barrier, from the rest of Colorado, honestly, I wouldn't be scared. I'd actually be quite calm about it. Something that I might do would think about the situation and try to come up with a plan for me and the rest of my family to survive. (If I did live in Commerce City.)

If I were to wake up one morning and see that Commerce City had been completely cut off I would of been really scared but i wouldn't try to panic. I would try to gather food and find a nice secret shelter because there would be chaos all over the city. But since I am curios I would try to find a way to get out the barrier and see what is going out in the world. If they would even bother to try and help.

Another thing that I would do is make sure that the community is okay and that the community was finding a way to solve the problem.

There is a giant barrier covering commerce city...as soon as would find this out I would head straight to the grocery store! While everybody else is worrying on a way to get out ill be stocking up on food and worry about that later! After doing so, knowing ill have enough food for a WHILE, I would attempt in contacting people from the outside..this saves me all the worrying in how ill get out. Instead of commerce city trying to get out, how about we have the rest of the U.S. try to get in? Theyll have more knowledge to this, more weaponry, and the technology for it! As soon as they can find a way in(if they find a way in), commerce city will use that entrance route the opposite way to get out :) and if theres no possible way for anybody to get in or out, well then ill just try to live a normal life as best as possible :/ :)

If I was to come across an invisible barrier that cuts off Commerce City from the rest of Colorado, I would feel extremely confused and would be raged with panic. However, in order to survive, I must remain calm and bring the community together in order to achieve a successful plan of survival. I must ensure that all the remaining supplies are equally divided and organize any troops that would take the risk of saving the city of Commerce City. As a community, we shall also look towards the scientists as they may find crucial methods that can help cross this dangerous invisible barrier.

You have a good response, but what kind of scientists are in Commerce City? I mean I would think that all the real scientists would be in either the middle of nowhere, or in Hollywood or something. And I do think it's cute how you say that the whole city would come together and not go completely insane to kill each other.
