N.C. Wyeth

Picture
N.C. Wyeth was an American artist and illustrator who created over 3,000 paintings and illustrated 112 books, 25 of them for Scribner’s, which is the work for which he is best-known.  Wyeth’s art work graced the pages of my childhood books and his illustrations helped bring to life for me characters such as Long John Silver and King Arthur.  I owe my passion for reading and for art in a special way to N.C. Wyeth.  He captured my imagination when I was young and hasn’t let go of it to this day.  I have created this page as a tribute to Wyeth so that I might share his wondrous and inspiring art work with you in the hopes he will also capture your imagination.  I have tried to gather together as many of Wyeth’s illustrations as I can find.  Many are missing and many of the ones I do have are of poor quality, but hopefully you will enjoy the ones I am able to share.
